Thelma A. Miller York Thelma A. “Pinky” (Rohrbaugh) Miller, 93, of York, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Village at Sprenkle Drive, York. She was the wife of the late John A. Miller. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday August 17, 2013 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with the Rev. Edward Robbins, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 Saturday at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born April 6, 1920 in Springfield Township, a daughter of the late Paul and Mabel (Krout) Rohrbaugh. She graduated from Glen Rock High School in 1938. During the war she worked at the Safe Works and then went on to work for Sears & Roebuck, where she was a clerk. She retired from there after over 30 years and was a member of the Sears Retiree Club. Thelma was a long time member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, York, where she had served on the church council and was a Sunday school teacher. She was a travel counselor for the York County Visitors Center for 30 years and served as a volunteer for the Bird Cage at Memorial Hospital for 25 years. She also was a member of the local AARP chapter 3400, Springetts, and was a part of a widow support group. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling. She traveled to Hawaii, London, Germany, Australia, and Alaska. She also enjoyed taking bus trips and going to dinner theaters. Mrs. Miller is survived by her two daughters, Vickie A. Reynolds, companion of Donny Johnson, and Sherri L. Miller, companion of Terry Vaught both of York; a brother, Lyndon B. Rohrbaugh of Annapolis, MD; and two grandchildren, Heather L. Reynolds, and Jon P. Reynolds both of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
