Ronald A. Bahn

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Allen Bahn (RB) who left us on September 17, 2026. He was born September 16, 1935 in Glen Rock and was the oldest son of Allen and Louise Bahn (Hammes). Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Mike and former wife Jackie (Whetzel) Bahn-Henkelman. He is survived by sister Linda Geldert, two sons David and Brian (Molly) and 3 grandchildren Nick, Olivia and Emma, nephews and nieces, and close friend Linda Schod.

Ron Graduated for William Penn High School in York, PA and served in the US Army after graduation. While raising a family and taking night classes at Penn State-York, Ron began his post-military career at Fincor in York, and worked tirelessly at several companies in the Mid-Atlantic area over the years and retired from Red Lion Controls.

He was a devoted father who provided his sons with many opportunities, supported many activities, and in doing so, provided them with many life lessons and character-building experiences. Ron modeled the good character he wanted for his sons.

Ron was Blue & White, a lifelong PSU Football fan. He hosted many friends and family over the years at the family cabin that was built by Ron and the boys in Centre County, PA.

Ron loved the Lord, had immense patriotism for our country and a heart for our veterans. He had many friends on his life journey and was active in many organizations including the Wrightsville Masonic Lodge, The Elks and the VFW.

Ron spent his final years in the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, where he gained many new friends, volunteered in many capacities, and particularly enjoyed gardening and sharing the bounty with his community.

Ron's memorial service will be held at the Elizabethtown Masonic Village at the Sell Chapel at 10AM September 24th. A reception will follow immediately after. A burial service will then follow for the immediate family at the Chestnut Hill (Zion Lutheran) Cemetery in Glen Rock, PA.
