Roland Eugene Anstine

Roland Eugene "Gene" Anstine, 66, of Stewartstown, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. He was born December 16, 1959 in West York, PA to Roland G. Anstine and the late Nancy Anstine (Wolf). He is survived by his father, his sister, Jeanette Tome, his girlfriend Britany Zembower and her children, Kaitlyn Conklin and Kaleb Conklin.

Gene joined the Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co. in 1980 and in two years became a line officer. He served as 2nd Asst. Chief from 1985 to 1987, 1st Asst. Chief in 1988 and 1999 and Chief of the Department from 1990 to 2003 and again from 2011 to 2014. Gene was awarded the distinction of Life Member in 1998. Gene enjoyed setting up and taking care of the train garden at the library.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co., 15-17 Hanover Street, Glen Rock, PA 17327 on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co. at the above address.
