Raymond P. Sweitzer Seven Valleys Raymond P. Sweitzer, 78, of Seven Valleys, went to be with the Lord Tuesday September 26, 2017 at the York Hospital. He was the husband of Darlene G. (Folkenroth) Sweitzer, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage on June 25th. Funeral Services will be held 6:30 PM Monday October 2, 2017 at St. Peter’s Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, with Pastor Thomas Beck officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the church. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main street, Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements. Raymond was born on September 11, 1939, in Springfield Township, a son of the late Paul R. and Charlotte V. (Beck) Sweitzer. He was a 1957 graduate of Dallastown High School and retired as a supervisor from AMP, Inc. in 1997 after about 30 years of employment in their various plants. Mr. Sweitzer was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Seven Valleys, Gideons International, the Southern York Camp, where he was the treasurer, and Camp Alaska hunting camp, Clinton County. Raymond’s passion was hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Besides his wife Darlene, he leaves two daughters, Kay A. Zimmerman and husband Gary, Laurie S. Miller and husband Jeff; two sons, Mark A. Sweitzer and wife Missy all of Glen Rock, and Terry L. Sweitzer of Wellsville; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Alvin, George, Robert, and Barry Sweitzer, and two sisters, May Wagner and Shirley Wilt. He is preceded in death by a grandson Zachary D. Sweitzer.
