Nancy Catherine Jones passed peacefully in her sleep at Hanover Hospital on 2/9/2026.

Nancy was born in Darby, PA on July 10, 1938 to the late Donald and Anna (Dewees) Meeder. She came from humble beginnings, working on a farm and picking beans at a young age and attended a one room school house in her early years.

After graduating from Susquehannock High School in 1956, she joined the United States Marine Corps in 1958 where she meet her husband, Donald and delivered their first child, Troy, on base at Camp Lejeune, NC.

Married in 1960, Don and Nancy lived in the same home in Brodbecks, PA for over 55 years and raised two additional children, Kim and Stacey.

Nancy participated on a Hanover bowling league, enjoyed ocean fishing on their boat and was an avid reader of non fiction history. She enjoyed gardening and doing crafts.

She especially cherished memories of her time employed at Park Hills Elementary of South Western School District as a teachers aide where she was loved by many students.

Being the first born of seven children, Nancy firmly believed in family values. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, friend and homemaker and was loved by all.
