Michael ("Mike") B Alban, a loving and dedicated husband, father, and papaw, passed away peacefully, at home on Friday, May 30th after his two-month fight against pancreatic cancer.
Mike was born on March 8th, 1955 in York, Pennsylvania to the late Edmond "Duke" Alban, Jr. and the late Meriam (Shaffer) Alban. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Karen (Busky) Alban, and two daughters, Meagan Alban and Katie (Alban) Martin, and her husband, Cody. He was Papaw to his four grandchildren, Landon, Lauren, Ben, and Abby Martin. He is also survived by his two brothers, Brian Alban and wife, Connie, and Greg Alban and wife, Ruby. He was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Mike was a 1973 graduate of Susquehannock High School and went on to receive a degree in Graphic Design from Williamsport Community College. His professional life consisted of working for several printing companies, then returning to school to become a pharmacy technician. However, he lived for his family. Mike was a supportive husband and a remarkable dad. He was a real-life superhero to his grandchildren and spent all of his days with them. Being their papaw was the greatest role of his life.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Geiple-Predicce Funeral home in Glen Rock, PA. The service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow the service at St. John the Baptist Catholic cemetery in New Freedom.
