Lynne Cheryl Strayer

On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Lynne C. Strayer, 79, passed away at Seaton Springwood in York. She was born on December 20, 1946, in York, to the late Harold H. and Caroline M. "Millie" (Hoover) Strayer. She graduated from Dallastown High School in 1964. Lynne would go on to work for Allis Chalmers and then was a bookkeeper for her father's business, Old Orchard Machine Co.
In her spare time, she loved all animals, especially her horses. She also enjoyed reading and attended Salem Christian Church in Jacobus and St. Peter's Church in Seven Valleys.
Lynne is survived by her cousins, Yvonne "Tootie" Hagan, Sharon Hefflin, Jack Trimmer, and Melissa Farringer. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Followiing cremation, public visitation will take place on Monday, June 22, from 10:00am until a memorial service begins at 11:00am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Seven Valleys. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
