Lois Brenneman

Lois Ann (Renoll) Brenneman, formerly of Glen Rock and Shrewsbury, passed on October 25, 2025 at SpiriTrust, York, at the age of 94.

She was born August 6, 1931, in York, the daughter of Paul K. Renoll and Mazie C. Renoll. She was a 1949 graduate of Codorus Township High School, Glenville, PA.

Lois was a lifelong member of St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ, Glenville, PA. She treasured her church family and was active in her Sunday School class and the sewing group. She loved time spent with her family and friends, flower and vegetable gardening, bird watching, crocheting, sewing, reading the newspaper, and being outdoors in nature.

Lois was married to her high school sweetheart, Richard E. (Dick) Brenneman, for 40 years until his untimely death in October, 1989.

She is survived by her three children, Judy Brenneman Sweitzer (Ted) of Pawleys Island, SC, Ron Brenneman (Dori) of Caesar's Head, SC, and Denny Brenneman (Carol) of Dover, PA; her five grandchildren, Katrina Sweitzer Kinneer (Gary), Jessi Brenneman Kessock, Curtis Brenneman, Travis Brenneman (Jess), Christy Brenneman; and her seven great grandchildren, Isabelle, Kate, Colsen, Peyton, Avery, Kylie, and Kaliana. She will also be missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, her siblings Elmo Renoll, Eugenia Miller, Norene Miller, and Patsy Stengle all predeceased her.

Memorial donations in her name may be made to St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ, 5152 Stone Church Rd., Glenville, PA 17329. The family kindly request no flowers.

A private graveside gathering for her immediate family will be held at a later date.
