Linda Louise Gemmill

July 19, 1948 - January 18, 2026

Linda Louise Gemmill, of Shrewsbury, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born in Baltimore, MD, and was the daughter of Dorothy A. (Troyer) Gemmill and W. William Gemmill.

She was raised in Jarrettsville, MD, and graduated from North Harford High School in 1966. After graduating high school, Linda worked as an Executive Secretary at General Register and at McCormick. Later she worked in the admitting department of Greater Baltimore Medical Center and as a Medical Transcriptionist.

Lin was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the beach. She dearly loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Hock and his wife, Rebecca, of Bel Air, MD and Amy Majewski and her husband Chris, of Stewartstown, PA, along with her grandchildren, Brayden and Madison Hock and Avarie and Brynley Majewski.

Linda is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Robert Gemmill and his wife, Louise of Felton, PA, Carolyn Bluestein and her husband, Dan, of Virginia Beach, VA, Marjorie Hendley and her husband Rex, of Cape May, NJ, Steve Gemmill and his wife, Amber, of Felton, PA and Debra Kinhart and her husband, Howard, of Shrewsbury, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

At Linda's request no funeral or memorial service will be held.
