Lawrence J. Hefner

On Thursday, July 1, 2021, Lawrence J. "Larry" Hefner, 79, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully with family by his side. He was born on March 29, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late John L. and Mary (Cannoles) Hefner. Larry graduated from Parkville High School in 1960, then worked for Lafarge (formerly Harry T. Campbell and Genstar) for over 35 years before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed surf fishing. He is survived by his two sons, David M. Hefner and Daniel P. Hefner and his wife, Lynda; two grandchildren, Leslee Ann and Patrick John Hefner; and his ex-wife and caregiver, Karen L. Hefner. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Lou Bennett. Services are private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
