Larry C. "Poppy" Haines

Larry Haines, affectionately known as "Poppy", was born October 20, 1943 in Martinsburg, WV, and passed away on February 25, 2025, peacefully in his home at the age of 81.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sandy Haines and sons Sean Hershey (Sharon) and Mark Haines, grandchildren Miranda Hensley (Stephen), Shane Hershey (Savannah), John Haines, and Hannah Haines.

The family finds comfort in knowing he is now with his beloved daughter Jennifer Haines who preceded him in death.

Larry served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1967. He then pursued his career with AT&T and worked for them for 33 years. Upon retirement he sold real estate for several years.

Larry was a member of many golf courses in the Daytona Beach area.  He has won several club championships.  He loved golf and enjoyed playing with family and friends.  

Larry will be missed and never forgotten.
