Kyna Sechrist

Kyna S. Sechrist Kyna Sue (Krout) Sechrist, 67, passed away on Thursday February 27, 2020 at her home in Red Lion. She was the wife of Jan S. Sechrist, with whom she celebrated a 44th wedding anniversary this past December 6th. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul UCC, 161 S. Main Street, Shrewsbury, PA with Rev. Martha Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury, followed by a social luncheon in the church educational building. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. There will be no viewing. Mrs. Sechrist was born on July 9, 1952 in Springfield Township, a daughter of the late James H. and Grace L. (Lehman) Krout. Kyna enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and collecting antiques; but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. In addition to her husband Jan, Mrs. Sechrist is survived by a daughter Tanna L. Whitton and her husband Randall of Downingtown, PA; a son Chad M. Sechrist and his wife Dawn of Christiansburg, VA; three grandchildren, Elle Whitton, Sophia Whitton, William Sechrist; and an expecting grandson on the way; two sisters, Dreena Bose of San Antonio, TX, and Janna Exon of Idaho. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul UCC, 161 S. Main Street, Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
