Joseph Smith

On Monday, September 1, 2025, Joseph B. Smith, 67, of Glenville, PA passed away peacefully with family by his side. He was the husband of Kathy L. (Kagarise) Smith. Joe was born on August 1, 1958, in Adams County, PA, to the late Richard Joseph and Mabel Ellen (Decker) Smith. He was a truck driver for over 45 years, driving for the Frock Brothers; UNFI for 10 years; then K.R. Perry for his last 5 years. Affectionately known as "The Legend", Joe drove over 4.5 million Safe Miles. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors camping, spending time with the family, especially the grandkids, and taking Kathy on trips.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kathy; four children, Krystal Smith Crenillera and husband Pedro, Brian Smith and wife Ashley, Jessica Smith George and husband Romanio, and Ashley Smith; three step-children, Brett Yohe and wife Jamie, Tyler Yohe and wife Paige, and Amber Yohe and fiancee Zachary Sterner; seven grandchildren, Pedrito and Alma Crenillera, Jackson Smith, Cheyanne Starliper, Courtney Collingwood, Jonathan Engroff, Jr., Nolan Engroff; eight step-grandchildren, Walker and Easton Yohe, Willie, Wyatt and Wayne Cree, Araya and Brinleigh Arnold and Saylor Sterner.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 1:00pm until 5:00pm at Amvets Post #22, 206 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331.
