Janet A. Koontz

Janet A. Koontz, 92, of Seven Valleys, passed away peacefully at Innerscreek Nursing and Rehab in Dallastown on September 23, 2026. She was born in York, PA on September 18, 1934 to the late Clarence M. and Ida L. (Gerber) Rauhauser. She is survived by her daughters, Deb Ehrhart (Scott), Chris Miller, and Cindy Kaufman (Art), granddaughters Andi Ehrhart (Glenn), Mindy Giancola (Tom), Jenn Peifer (Matt), Marcy Groom (Jason) and Brandy Keeney, great-grandchildren Erin, Camden, Scott, Talon, Hannah, Madison and Sophia, and her brother Wayne "Sam" Rauhauser. Janet was predeceased by her husband Leroy V. Koontz, son-in-law David (Foot) Miller, sisters Esther, Ethel, Dorothy, Ruthana, Lois and brothers Edgar, Eugene, Emerson, Clarence, Jr., Ebert, Glenn and David.

After graduating high school Janet went to work for Grants Department Store, Glen Rock Sewing Factory, Kmart and then spent 20 years at AMP retiring in 1999. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzlebooks, watching tv and loved spending time with her family.

A viewing will be held at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA 17327 on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 11 am to 1 pm at which time a funeral service will be held. Burial to follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimers Assoc., GPA Harrisburg Office 2595, Interstate Dr., Ste. 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
