Janet Becker

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Janet A. (Delp) Becker, 86, passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles E. Becker for 57 years before his passing in 2014. Janet was born in North Codorus Township on December 5, 1938 to the late Samuel E. and Geneva M. (Stengle) Delp.

She is survived by three sons, Dennis C. Becker and his wife Sheila, Bradley E. Becker and his wife Beth and Samuel M. Becker and his wife Tina; six grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, Brianne, Braden, Aaron and his fiancé Alicia, and Caleb; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Sophie, Bentley and Ila; siblings Anna Myers, Sara Smith, and Russel Delp. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce E. Becker and her sister Dolores M. Amspacher.

Janet graduated Susquehannock High School in 1956 and married her husband Charles in February of 1957. She smothered her family with love and thought the best way to your heart was through your stomach. She loved to cook, her specialties were hog maw and homemade chicken pot pie, she also loved working in her flowerbeds and mowing the lawn. She was a devoted fan to her children and grandchildren in their sports endeavors. She rarely missed a game. Janet was a member of Zion Shaffer's United Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and was a council member. She was also a part of the Jefferson Fire Company Auxiliary and sold Avon for 37 years.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Zion Shaffer's United Lutheran Church, 4535 Shaffer Road, Seven Valleys, PA 17360 from 10 am to 12 noon at which time a funeral service will be held. Interment will follow in Zion Shaffer's United Lutheran Church Cemetery, Seven Valleys, PA.
