James I. Shaffer Glen Rock James I. Shaffer, 69, of Glen Rock, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the York Hospital. Following Cremation, services will be at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is assisting the family with the arrangements. James was born on February 15, 1945 in New Freedom, a son of the late Melvin and Edna Mae (Almony) Shaffer and was a step son of M. Pearl Shaffer. He retired from the Hanover Wire Cloth, Hanover, where he was employed as a Warp Winder for almost 20 years. He was a member of the Hanover AMVets Post 22, the Sons of the American Legion Squad 14, Hanover; Hanover Moose Lodge #227 and was a member of the Lineboro Fire Company. He leaves, a son, Michael E. Shaffer, three daughters, Susan Marie Shaffer-Rodgers, Katherine L. Tom and Nancy A. Bush, 10 Grandchildren, a great grandchild and a sister Betty Wolf. He was predeceased by a sister Phyllis Laughman.
