James Patrick Davey

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, James Patrick "Pat" Davey, 94, of York, passed away. He was born on October 19, 1931 in Baltimore, MD to the late Francis X. and Eleanor B. (Gosnell) Davey. After graduating from Baltimore City College High School, he was drafted into the US Army where he served from 1952 to 1954. He served as clerk for the US Postal Service in Baltimore for 31 years before retiring in 1989. Pat was an avid sports fan and was a member of the PA Thoroughbred Breeders' Association and MD Thoroughbred Owners' Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Francis M. Davey.
