James D. Cherundolo Jr.

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, James J. Cherundolo, Jr., 74, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully at home. James was born on December 1, 1951, in Taylor, PA to the late Rose M. (Guzzi) and James J. Cherundolo, Sr.

James graduated in 1969 from Old Forge High School in Old Forge, PA . He then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. He worked as an engineer for Lockheed Martin for over 35 years until he retired.

James was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching Penn State college football, the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

James is survived by his wife Donna of 50 years; one son, Brian Cherundolo and his wife Jill; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Megan. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angela Cherundolo; and sister, Josephine Grasso.

Private visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom. All services are private. Online condolences may be made under Share a Memory on this page.
