Harry Stamer

On Monday, June 23, 2025, Harry R. Stamer, 85, of York, passed away at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the loving husband of Carol (Culver) Stamer for 61 years.

Harry was born on April 20, 1940, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Harry W. and Emily (Coco) Stamer. He graduated from Calvert Hall High School in Baltimore in 1958, and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Baltimore in 1969. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Sebastian Counsel, in Baltimore. In his spare time, he was an avid bridge player, enjoyed playing Santa Clause, loved dogs, and, in his younger years, enjoyed golfing.

Harry is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, Jeremy Stamer and wife Kimberly; one granddaughter, Amanda Stamer; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Stamer; one niece, Mindy Smith; and one nephew, Troy Stamer.

Services and burial are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to Campassus Hospice, 2101 Oregon Pike, Ste. 301, Lancaster, PA 17601 OR to the York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
