Franklin Daniel Cole, affectionately known as "Frank," passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, in York, Pennsylvania, at the age of 71. Born on September 25, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Franklin Cole Sr. and Martha Jane Ferrell.
Frank dedicated over 40 years to a career delivering propane for Amerigas and Mason Propane.
His strong work ethic extended beyond his job, as he spent weekends with his son picking up milk for Dairymen Corporation-a testament to his devotion to family and his willingness to help wherever needed.
A man of many talents, Frank enjoyed working on and repairing vehicles, a hobby that highlighted his ingenuity and skill. He was an active member of Friedensaal Lutheran Church, where he served faithfully on the church council, embodying his deep faith and commitment to his community.
Traveling to Germany to visit his grandchildren brought Frank immense joy. He cherished these trips and the special moments shared with his family abroad. The sound of his grandchildren excitedly shouting "10-4 yeehaw" will forever remain a treasured memory.
Frank had a natural ability to connect with people. He loved engaging in conversations and learning about others' lives, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met through his warmth and genuine interest.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Darlene; their son Daniel, along with Daniel's wife and their two nine-year-old children; and his sister Betty Jean Phillipi. He was predeceased by his parents.
A life well-lived leaves behind cherished memories for those who knew him. May Frank's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
