Florence Tillinghast

Florence Butler Tillinghast, 92, of York, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2026. She was born August 6, 1933 in Irasburg, VT to the late Arthur W. and Glenna (Huntington) Butler. Florence is survived by her children Mark Alan Tillinghast and his wife Phyllis, Margo Amy Singer and her husband Paul, grandchildren Zachary Tillinghast and his wife Azaliah, Klyle Tillinghast and his wife Chelsea, Justin Singer and his wife Karina and Julia Sander and her husband Nicholas, and great grandchild Liam Tillinghast. She was predeceased by her husband George S. Tillinghast. Florence loved to play golf and cribbage, enjoyed gardening and loved being with her family. A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 80 S. Main St., Loganville, PA 17342 on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11 am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Pennsylvania Food Bank at www.centralpafoodbank.org.
