Florence Alice Miller

We are heartbroken to share that Florence Alice Miller, 87, of Spring Grove, PA, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026. Florence was born on June 17, 1939, in York, PA, and was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Rodgers) Garrett. She was a spirited woman who never shied away from sharing her feisty personality and quick wit.

Florence spent many years working hard, from helping her family on their dairy farm in Glen Rock to being a friendly face as a produce attendant at Weis Markets. She also had a caring heart as a nurses aide at Colonial Manor Nursing Home and even teamed up with her late husband, Roy J. Miller, to run their own business.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and cherished her fishing trips to Canada. She also had a love for travel and adventure, including a memorable six-week journey across the United States.

Florence was blessed with a wonderful family that includes her four children: Linda Kreiss, Joanne Shook and her husband Michael, Shirley Clarke and her husband Guy, and Melissa Bolinger. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Fields; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Scott, John, James, Christopher, Guy, Jr., Aaron, Eric, Kerry, Amanda, Timothy, and Samuel; 7 great-grandchildren, Paige, Elizabeth, Dustin, Alexis, Mikaela, Chase, and Oliver; and 1 great-great-grandchild, Wyatt, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one granddaughter, Jennifer and one great-grandson, Tyler.

Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Florence's life on October 14, 2026. There will be a public viewing starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., located at 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA. Afterward, a graveside service will be held at Suburban Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located at 3875 Bull Rd, Dover, PA.
