Estella Spurrier

Estella R. Spurrier York Estella R. (Smith) Spurrier, 91, of York, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Manor Care South, York, PA. She was the loving wife of the late George Hunt and the late Everly Spurrier. Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St, Glen Rock, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Spurrier was born on May 27, 1923 in Glen Rock, a daughter of the late William and Ida (Amspacher) Smith. Estella was an account clerk for the State of Maryland for over 30 years having worked in many different locations. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Ionic Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to knit and sew, and had traveled the world. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Hunt Rosenblatt of Worcester, MA, a step granddaughter Ruth Rosenblatt and her husband George Cooke, a great granddaughter Frances Cooke, and a sister Mary Sturman of Loganville, PA, and many other beloved relatives. She is preceded in death by a son-in-law Bernard Rosenblatt, and five siblings. Condolences may be shared at geiple.com
