Donald G. Platts, Jr.

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Donald G. Platts, Jr., 71, passed away at home in Jacobus. He was the devoted husband to Gail D. (Jones) Platts for 45 years. He was born on November 16, 1953 in York, to the late Ethel M. (Tracey) and Donald G. Platts, Sr. After attending Dallastown High School, he worked as a welder for Borg Warner for 28 years until he retired.

Surviving him are his wife, Gail; three children, Donald G. "Donnie" Platts, III, Heather M. Platts and Scott M. Platts; two brothers, David Bailey and Kevin Platts; 8 grandchildren, Alexcia Kline and husband David, Donald IV, Isaiah, Mason, Ian, Tyson, Noah, and Cooper; and two great-grandchildren, Hazel and Myla. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Tracey.
