Delano G. "Del" Miller, 91, of York, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at Pappus House in Thomasville, Pennsylvania.

Born on May 13, 1934, in Manheim Township, York County, Del was the son of the late Walter A. and Ada I. (Rohrbaugh) Miller. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vicki (Frey) Miller, and his siblings: Clyde L. "Doc" Miller, Lavere D. Miller, and Delores A. Sullivan.

Del is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a wide circle of friends who cherished him deeply and treated him like family.

A proud graduate of Susquehannock High School, Class of 1952, Del enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps that same year. He served honorably until 1955, earning several commendations including the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Conflict Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Del dedicated over 60 years of his professional life as an Independent Sales Representative for Rudco Products, retiring in 2020. He was a life member of the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post #403 and the 40 & 8 Gettysburg Chapter. He was also an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Glen Rock, the Bon Air Country Club-where he served as Past President and Board Member- was a former Assistant Chief of the Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Company and was a member of the York County Firefighters Association. Del was instrumental in the formation of the Bocce Ball League at Victor's Italian Restaurant in York. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, especially to the Bahamas.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Pappus House and Hospice & Community Care for their exceptional care and support.

Services and interment will be held privately.
