Clarence Eugene Kline, 88, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully at his home on May 22, 2026. He was born October 30, 1937 in Shrewsbury Township to the late Maurice and Grace (Sanders) Kline. Gene is survived by his sisters Ruth Kline, Mary McDonald and Hazel Kline, four nephews, four nieces and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Charles Kline and Wilmer "Jakey" Kline, niece Fay Wildason and nephew Charles Kline, Jr.
Gene worked on a dairy farm as young man and went on to become a janitor at Susquehannock High School for 21 years, after retiring he worked at Farmer's Daughter in Shrewsbury. Gene was a Shrewsbury legend, he would sit on his porch smoking his cigar and wave at everyone passing by.
A viewing will be held at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA 17327 on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 11 am to 12 noon at which time a funeral service will be held. Burial private.
