Carol Ann Glatfelter Shrewsbury Carol Ann Glatfelter, 62, who was formerly of Glen Rock, died Friday May 3 2013 at the Barbara J. Egan Nursing Center, Shrewsbury. Following cremation, a graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 10, 2013 at Zion Shaffer’s Church Cemetery, 4535 Shaffer Road, Seven Valleys with Rev. Ed Robbins, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Rock officiating. There will be no viewing. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements. Carol was born in York on October 27, 1950, a daughter of Dean B. and Mary E. (Stump) Glatfelter of Glen Rock. She graduated from the York County Vo-Tech License Practical Nurse Program and had been employed as a LPN at the York Lutheran Home for over 25 years and was a member of Zion Shaffer’s United Lutheran Church. Besides her parents she also leaves, a sister, Diane M. Bortner of Glen Rock, a brother Gary E. Glatfelter and his wife, Cindy of Glen Rock and a niece and nephews, Sarah Glatfelter, Mark Bortner and Daniel Glatfelter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope and Healing Horse Therapy Ranch, 15949 Kyle Road, El Paso, TX 79938 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
