Arlene M. Davis

Arlene M. (Smith) Davis, 92, of Seven Valleys, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Davis. Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Monday, October 23, 2017, at Friedensaal Lutheran Church, 9138 White Church Road, Seven Valleys, with Rev. Margareta M. Breden, officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 12 noon Monday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM at Codorus Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Dallastown. Mrs. Davis was born on November 3, 1924 in Springfield Township, a daughter of the late Elmer and Goldie (Lehr) Smith. She had been employed as a seamstress at several local sewing factories until her retirement. Arlene leaves a loving daughter, Helen A. Taylor and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dennis A. Taylor and sisters, brothers and spouses, Lestie S. Bupp (Walter), Betty J. Beck (Richard), Franklin L. Smith (Florence), Earl J. Smith (Dorothy), Stuart L. Smith (Mary) and Raymond R. Smith (Verna).
