Anna Pearl Dyer

A. Pearl Dyer, 99, passed away at home on Friday, July 3, 2026. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Dyer; they were married on April 16, 1946 and shared 59 years of marriage before his passing. Pearl was born on February 28, 1927 in Piney Flats, TN to the late Wilbur and Effie (Friesland) Humphrey. She was a homemaker and seamstress and sewed well into her nineties. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and smocking. Her faith in God and her family were very important to her. She was a charter member of the Glen Rock Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Markle (Dean), her brother Wilbur "Jack" Humphrey, and grandchildren Leanne Miller (Rick), Adam Markle, Lacey Latterman (Damian), Amy Findley (Marty), and Jennifer Halleran, two great-grandchildren, Caley and Caden Latterman as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Eddie Dyer, Deborah Halleran, and Dale Dyer and two sisters, Opal Reed and Ruby Bull. A viewing will be held at Glen Rock Church of Christ, 3899 Sticks Road, Glen Rock, PA 17327 on Thursday July 16, 2026 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday, July 17, 2026 from 10 to 11 am at which time a funeral service will be held, officiated by her minister Jeffrey Dillinger. Burial to follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Pearl's honor to the church at the address above.
