Amy Corinne Scott Austin, Texas Amy Corinne (Leader) Scott, 42, of Austin Tx, died from a very rare form of cancer, Monday August 12th, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her husband, son, sister, and parents. She was the wife of Brian Scott, with whom she was married to for 14 years. Amy was born in Heidelberg, Germany, the eldest daughter of Rev. Dr. Jason A. Leader LTC U.S. Army retired and the Rev. Patricia Ann (Turner) Leader of Glen Rock. She graduated from Noblesville (IN) High School in 1989 and in 1993 from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture. She practiced as a Licensed Landscape Architect and a full time mother. She participated in many community activities and was an enthusiastic volunteer at her son’s elementary school, Oak Hill Elementary and her church Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Amy was a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Oak Hill Elementary PTA, Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and the young women’s cancer support group, Pink Ribbon Cowgirls. She loved to travel, enjoyed camping, canoeing, hiking, swimming, reading, scrapbooking, needle work, riding roller coasters, anything Star Trek, and going to the beach. Besides her husband and parents, she also leaves, a son, Hampton Quaide Scott; three step children, Grayson, Jared, and Rebecca Scott of Bentonville, Arkansas; one sister Paige E. Leader of San Antonio Texas. A memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday August 25th at St. John’s (Blymire’s) United Church of Christ, 1009 Blymire Road, Dallastown with the Rev Curtis Weber officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC), Box 300040, Austin, TX 78703. Please make a notation in the memo section: In memory of Amy for PRC.
