Thelma L. Norwood Glen Rock GLEN ROCK Thelma L. (Britt) Norwood, 75, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at her home. She was the wife of Gilbert C. Norwood, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage on January 5, 2015 . Funeral services will be private at the conveniences of the family. Thelma was born on May 15, 1939, in Black Creek, N.C., a daughter of the late Thell W. Britt and Gladys L. (Hamm) Britt Hatcher. She had worked at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, Md., for eight years as a Geriatric Nurse's Aide and prior to that, worked at Rosewood Center, Owings Mills, Md. Mrs. Norwood attended Calvary Bible Church, Hanover, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her beloved family and grandsons. In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Michael D. Norwood of Glen Rock; two daughters, Margaret L. Plitt and her husband, Darin of Hanover, and Ruth E. Norwood of Alexandria, Va.; two grandsons, Garrett and Grant Plitt; and a sister-in-law, Margaret R. Britt. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H. Britt.
