Marilyn J. Harpole

On Monday, December 12, 2022, Marilyn J. Harpole, 91, of Glen Rock, went to be with her Lord and Savior. She also joined her husband, Charles R. Harpole, who passed away in June of 2007. Born on February 6, 1931 in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gerald P. and Alison (Crawford) Bush. Marilyn was formerly of Beltsville, MD and Oneonta, NY, but lived in York County since 2004.

In her spare time, she regularly enjoyed going to breakfast and doing activities with her strong friend group. She enjoyed her flowers, birds, working puzzles, playing Scrabble and was an avid reader. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Shrewsbury and had an unwavering faith and love for the Lord. Marilyn was so thankful for her neighborhood friends. She started and enjoyed leading a weekly bible study and time of devotion with them. Marilyn deeply loved family and was loved by them and all who met her. She is survived by her two sons, Mark D. Harpole and wife Karen, and Charles A. "Chuck" Harpole and wife Sharon; three grandchildren, Melissa Ivey and husband Brett, Mark Harpole, Jr. and wife Erin, and Nicole Ramos; eight great-grandchildren, Connor and Kelland Ivey, Nehemiah, Marilyn and Ezrael Ramos, Jackson Harpole, Rileigh Hoard and Lily Fellers. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two siblings, Jean Bonin and Gerald P. Bush, Jr.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 12:00pm until a memorial service begins at 1:00pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 473 Plank Rd., New Freedom, PA 17349. Pastor Jeffery A.
