Helen I. Lippiatt York Helen I. (Swank) Lippiatt, 98, of York, died Tuesday September 29, 2015, at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert K. Lippiatt. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday October 2, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, 345 Hanover Street, Glen Rock with a memorial service following at 4:00 PM Friday at St. John’s Blymires United Church of Christ, 1009 Blymire Road, Dallastown. Officiating at the services will be Rev. Lou Ann Jones. There will be no viewing. Mrs. Lippiatt was born on April 2, 1917 in Snydertown, Northumberland County Pa, a daughter of the late William F. and Carrie A. (Diehl) Swank. She graduated in 1935 from Sunbury High School and was self-employed as a Hairdresser in Glen Rock for several years. She had also worked as a Home Economist with the Penn State Extension office in York. She was a member of St, John’s Blymires United Church of Christ. She leaves a daughter, Beth E. March of York, a son William R. “Bill” Lippiatt and his wife Linda of Inverness FL; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a sister, G. Althea Byrnes of York and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Charles R. “Chuck” Lippiatt, a sister Faye Swank and a brother, Clair Swank.
