Mildred L. Dubbs
Shrewsbury

Mildred L. (Bortner) Dubbs, 89, of the Barbara J. Egan Nursing Center, Shrewsbury, who was formerly of Glen Rock, died Friday January 21, 2011 at the home.  She was the wife of the late Spurgeon L. “Bud” Dubbs.
         Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with her pastor the Rev. John Trout, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity U.C.C. Cemetery, Glen Rock.   A Viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, January 23, 2011 and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dubbs was born on January 17, 1922 in Codorus Township, a daughter of the late Levi E. & Effie Kessler Bortner.
        She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Glen Rock and was a resident of the Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village community since November 2010.
        She is survived by a daughter, Linda S. Dubbs and a son Barry L. Dubbs, both of Glen Rock; 3 Grandchildren, Barry “Joe” Dubbs of Jacksonville, NC; Patrick T. Dubbs of Jersey Shore and Joshua Dubbs of Apopka, FL;  6 Great Grandchildren; and two sisters, Janet McFadden of Manchester and Jean Klinefelter of Landisville; and her Cat “Buddie”.
        In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406 or to Trinity United Church of Christ, 27 Manchester St., Glen Rock, PA 17327
