Dallastown

Bernard E. Kopp, 74, of Manor Care Dallastown, who was formerly of Glen Rock and Country Meadows of York, died Tuesday July 27, 2010 at the home.
        Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with Pastors Dennis Fulk and Roy Stetler, officiating.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Zion Shaffer’s Church Cemetery.  A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
        Bernard was born on September 7, 1935 in Codorus Township and was a son of the late George C. and Alena I. (Stengle) Kopp.
        He was a member of the Sunday School of Zion Lutheran, where he had 51 years of perfect attendance and was a member of the York County Firefighters Association.  He also enjoyed playing Softball in a local church league, playing for Zion and St. Paul’s Hametown Lutheran Church.   He also enjoyed baseball, hunting and watching NASCAR races.
        He is survived by a sister, Connie A. Newcomer of Dover and a brother, Larry D. Kopp of York, and by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
        In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Sunday School, 47 Hanover Street, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
