Tamatha L. Tammi Sharp, 41, of York, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Philadelphia, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Michael E. Sharp. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate Tammis life, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 397 Tyler Run Road, York with her pastor the Rev. Jonathan L. Bausman, officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Saturday at the Church. There will be no viewing and burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is assisting the family with the arrangements. Tammi, was born in York, a daughter of Paul H. and Penny L. (Wertz) Markel. She grew up in Glen Rock and was a 1986 graduate of York County Vo-Tech. She was employed as a clerk at the Royal Farms Store on Queen Street and prior to that was employed at Mercury Electronics in Seven Valleys and at Key Plastics in Winterstown. She was a member of Altersgate United Methodist Church and was a member and pass Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post #403. Besides her husband and parents she also leaves three children, Randal S. Taylor, Grace E. Taylor and David P. Sharp, all of York; a sister, Debra S. Rivera of York and her father and mother in law, David G. and Ida E.M. Sharp of York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Eastern Regional Medical Center, 1331 East Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19124 or to The Tamatha L.
